AcroPesaro 2026 traz à cidade 40 países, quase mil atletas e pelo menos 10.000 dormidas. Onze hotéis estarão envolvidos durante 14 dias, com um forte impacto na extensão da época turística, enquanto algumas delegações já decidiram prolongar a estadia para conhecer Pesaro e a região.
AcroPesaro 2026 brings 40 countries, almost one thousand athletes and at least 10,000 hotel stays to the city. Eleven hotels will be involved for 14 days, generating a significant boost to the extension of the tourism season, while some delegations have already decided to extend their stay to discover Pesaro and the surrounding area.
PESARO — Pirâmides humanas, voos espetaculares, atletas lançados a vários metros do chão e capturados pelos próprios companheiros, força, equilíbrio, música, dança e emoção. Falta menos de um mês para Pesaro se tornar, durante duas semanas, a capital mundial da Ginástica Acrobática, acolhendo a 30.ª edição dos Campeonatos do Mundo de Seniores, juntamente com os Campeonatos do Mundo de Juniores e a World Youth Competition.
Na Vitrifrigo Arena estarão atletas representantes de 40 Federações Nacionais dos cinco continentes. De 17 a 20 de setembro terão lugar a World Youth Competition e os Campeonatos do Mundo de Juniores, enquanto de 24 a 27 de setembro será disputada a 30.ª edição dos Campeonatos do Mundo de Seniores de Ginástica Acrobática.
No total, estão inscritos 925 atletas: 341 Youth, 296 Juniores e 288 Seniores. Números muito relevantes no plano desportivo, aos quais se junta um impacto significativo na cidade, no turismo e na economia local.
Pelo menos 10.000 dormidas e 11 hotéis envolvidos
Para as competições Youth e Junior estão previstas 37 delegações, cerca de 930 participantes e 6.610 dormidas. A semana dos Seniores trará, por sua vez, 34 delegações, 513 participantes e mais 3.363 dormidas.
O total chega assim a 1.443 participantes nas delegações e 9.973 dormidas. Considerando também a World Gymnastics Family, o Campeonato do Mundo deverá atingir pelo menos 10.000 dormidas no total.
E o número ainda não inclui tudo. A estas dormidas juntam-se familiares, amigos e acompanhantes particulares que viajarão autonomamente para Pesaro a partir dos 40 países participantes, para acompanhar os atletas e assistir às competições.
Serão 11 os hotéis envolvidos em Pesaro durante 14 dias, num período particularmente importante para o turismo local. O evento decorrerá na segunda metade de setembro, altura em que tradicionalmente algumas unidades hoteleiras da costa começam a encerrar a época de verão. Vários hotéis que teriam previsto encerrar depois da Fiera di San Nicolapermanecerão, no entanto, abertos graças ao movimento internacional gerado pelo Campeonato do Mundo.
Durante quase duas semanas, atletas, treinadores, juízes, dirigentes, equipas técnicas, acompanhantes e famílias irão viver a cidade, utilizando restaurantes, transportes, lojas e serviços e gerando um impacto económico que se estenderá muito para além da Vitrifrigo Arena.
E já há quem tenha decidido transformar o Campeonato do Mundo também numa oportunidade para conhecer a região. A Federação Checa e outras delegações já confirmaram que irão prolongar a sua estadia depois da competição precisamente para conhecer Pesaro e visitar a região, acrescentando à participação desportiva uma experiência turística.
Para Marco Cadeddu, da Esatour, o AcroPesaro 2026 representa também o reconhecimento de um percurso organizativo construído ao longo dos anos: «Depois das experiências internacionais já realizadas em Pesaro e do sucesso do Campeonato do Mundo de 2024, chegar a 2026 com a organização de um Campeonato do Mundo de Ginástica Acrobática desta dimensão é uma confirmação da seriedade do trabalho desenvolvido pelo Comité Organizador e da confiança depositada pela Federação Italiana de Ginástica e pela World Gymnastics numa realidade de Pesaro. É uma responsabilidade importante, mas também um reconhecimento para uma estrutura organizativa que demonstrou saber gerir grandes eventos internacionais.»
PESARO — Human pyramids, spectacular flights, athletes thrown several metres into the air and caught by their teammates, strength, balance, music, dance and emotion. Less than a month remains before Pesaro becomes, for two weeks, the world capital of Acrobatic Gymnastics, hosting the 30th edition of the Senior World Championships, together with the Junior World Championships and the World Youth Competition.
Athletes representing 40 National Federations from five continents will arrive at the Vitrifrigo Arena. From 17 to 20 September, the World Youth Competition and Junior World Championships will take place, while from 24 to 27 September, the 30th edition of the Senior Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships will be held.
A total of 925 athletes are registered: 341 Youth, 296 Juniors and 288 Seniors. These are significant numbers from a sporting perspective, but they also come with a considerable impact on the city, tourism and the local economy.
At least 10,000 hotel stays and 11 hotels involved
For the Youth and Junior events, 37 delegations, approximately 930 participants and 6,610 hotel stays are expected. The Senior week will bring 34 delegations, 513 participants and a further 3,363 hotel stays.
The total therefore reaches 1,443 delegation participants and 9,973 hotel stays. Including the World Gymnastics Family, the World Championships are expected to generate at least 10,000 hotel stays overall.
And the figure does not tell the whole story. These stays will be joined by family members, friends and private supporters travelling independently to Pesaro from the 40 participating countries to follow the athletes and attend the competitions.
Eleven hotels in Pesaro will be involved for 14 days, during a particularly important period for local tourism. The event will take place in the second half of September, when some hotels and accommodation facilities along the coast traditionally begin to close for the summer season. Several hotels that would normally have planned to close after the Fiera di San Nicola will instead remain open thanks to the international activity generated by the World Championships.
For almost two weeks, athletes, coaches, judges, officials, staff, supporters and families will live in the city, using restaurants, transport, shops and other services and generating an economic impact extending well beyond the Vitrifrigo Arena.
Some delegations have already decided to turn the World Championships into an opportunity to discover the region as well. The Czech Federation and other delegations have already confirmed that they will extend their stay after the competition specifically to explore Pesaro and the surrounding area, adding a tourism experience to their sporting participation.
For Marco Cadeddu of Esatour, AcroPesaro 2026 also represents recognition of an organisational journey built over many years: «After the international events already held in Pesaro and the success of the 2024 World Championships, reaching 2026 with the opportunity to host an Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championship of this scale confirms the seriousness of the work carried out by the Organising Committee and the trust placed by the Italian Gymnastics Federation and World Gymnastics in the Pesaro organisation. It is an important responsibility, but also recognition for an organisational structure that has demonstrated its ability to manage major international events.»
Quarenta países, cinco continentes e um regresso a Pesaro
A dimensão internacional é um dos elementos mais fortes do AcroPesaro 2026. Estarão representados Europa, Ásia, Américas, África e Oceânia, com realidades desportivas muito diferentes: desde as grandes potências internacionais da Ginástica Acrobática a Federações onde a modalidade está a iniciar uma nova fase de desenvolvimento.
Entre os países participantes estão também nações que atravessam situações internacionais particularmente complexas, como Rússia, Bielorrússia, Ucrânia, Israel e Coreia do Norte, juntamente com novas realidades como a República Democrática do Congo. Durante alguns dias, todas estas bandeiras estarão reunidas no mesmo recinto, numa modalidade que, pela sua própria natureza, assenta na colaboração, confiança e trabalho de equipa.
A relação entre Pesaro e a grande ginástica internacional, contudo, não nasceu agora. Em 2021, a cidade acolheu os Campeonatos da Europa de Ginástica Aeróbica e de Ginástica Acrobática, organizados pela PesaroGym, com a Esatour responsável pelo acolhimento e pela gestão hoteleira das delegações.
Foi uma edição realizada num período ainda fortemente condicionado pela pandemia. Para Nikolina Hristova, Presidente do Comité Técnico de Ginástica Acrobática da World Gymnastics, «A um mês dos Campeonatos do Mundo de Pesaro, é emocionante ver reunidas as grandes nações da Acrobática e novas realidades como a República Democrática do Congo e a Coreia do Norte: com todos os continentes representados, este Campeonato do Mundo demonstra o quanto o nosso desporto ainda tem espaço para crescer e criar novas oportunidades para atletas e treinadores em todo o mundo. Muitas delegações regressarão também a Pesaro depois do AcroPesaro 2021, vivido num momento difícil marcado pela pandemia, mas recordado com grande carinho. Desta vez poderão viver plenamente a cidade e a emoção de um Campeonato do Mundo, porque, para além das medalhas, são sobretudo as emoções e os momentos partilhados que permanecem para sempre.»
Uma nova geração e um espetáculo por descobrir
Para Itália, acolher um Campeonato do Mundo em casa significa também proporcionar uma montra extraordinária a uma modalidade ainda pouco conhecida do grande público.
Para Erica Loiacono, Diretora Técnica Nacional da Ginástica Acrobática, «Ter um Campeonato do Mundo em Pesaro é uma enorme oportunidade para a Ginástica Acrobática italiana e para todo o território. É uma modalidade espetacular, capaz de conquistar até quem a vê pela primeira vez. Hoje, uma nova geração prepara-se para competir perante o público da casa e o nosso desejo é ver muitas famílias, jovens e apaixonados na Vitrifrigo Arena: um Campeonato do Mundo como este não é apenas desporto, é um espetáculo internacional para ser vivido ao vivo.»
Também para os atletas italianos existe um fio condutor que liga Pesaro às novas gerações. Arianna Luca e Edoardo Ferraris, que em 2021 faziam parte do movimento jovem italiano, tornaram-se em 2024 Campeões do Mundo de Juniores em Guimarães, transformando-se numa referência e numa inspiração para os jovens atletas da seleção italiana que hoje sonham alcançar o mesmo feito.
A época escolhida torna o evento particularmente interessante também para escolas e estudantes, que acabam de regressar após as férias de verão. Assistir a um Campeonato do Mundo pode tornar-se uma oportunidade rara para descobrir ao vivo uma modalidade baseada não apenas na preparação atlética, mas também na confiança mútua, na responsabilidade perante o companheiro, na colaboração e no trabalho de equipa.
Para famílias, jovens, clubes desportivos e para quem nunca viu Ginástica Acrobática ao vivo, setembro oferecerá, assim, uma oportunidade difícil de repetir: ver no mesmo recinto atletas provenientes de todas as partes do mundo competir por um título mundial.

Um Campeonato do Mundo que envolve a cidade
O AcroPesaro 2026 foi construído procurando criar uma ligação com Pesaro também para além da Arena. O próprio logótipo oficial do evento nasceu através de uma parceria com o Liceo Artistico Mengaroni, envolvendo diretamente os estudantes num projeto que uniu escola, criatividade, território e grande desporto internacional.
Levar quarenta países à mesma cidade significa também criar uma máquina organizativa que vai muito além dos dias de competição. O AcroPesaro 2026 nasce do trabalho da PesaroGym 2019 e da Esatour Group, juntamente com a Federação Italiana de Ginástica e a World Gymnastics, com o envolvimento das instituições e do território.
Acolhimento, transportes, treinos, hotéis, acreditações, voluntários, comunicação, produção televisiva, segurança e gestão da Vitrifrigo Arena fazem parte de uma organização que trabalha há meses para receber atletas e delegações.
Mas o efeito do evento continuará para além do recinto. O centro histórico, o mar, a cultura rossiniana, a gastronomia e o território tornar-se-ão parte da experiência das delegações e das famílias que chegarão a Pesaro. Atletas, treinadores e visitantes regressarão aos seus países levando consigo não apenas a memória da competição, mas também imagens e experiências da cidade que os recebeu.

Em setembro, portanto, o evento não será reservado apenas aos apaixonados pela ginástica. Será uma oportunidade para Pesaro encontrar o mundo e, ao mesmo tempo, para o mundo conhecer Pesaro.
Durante duas semanas, a cidade será a capital mundial da Ginástica Acrobática.
Referência para a estimativa do impacto económico
A estimativa foi elaborada utilizando como parâmetro os dados da Unioncamere-Isnart 2026*, segundo os quais a despesa média diária do turista estrangeiro em Itália é de* 72 euros para alojamento e 105 euros para outras despesas no território*, num total de 177 euros por pessoa e por dia. Aplicando este parâmetro às pelo menos 10.000 dormidas previstas, a ordem de grandeza da despesa direta será de aproximadamente* 1.770.000 euros*. Este valor constitui uma estimativa e não um resultado económico efetivo.*
Forty countries, five continents and a return to Pesaro
The international dimension is one of the strongest elements of AcroPesaro 2026. Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Oceania will all be represented, with very different sporting realities: from the major international powers of Acrobatic Gymnastics to Federations where the discipline is beginning a new phase of development.
The participating nations also include countries facing particularly complex international circumstances, such as Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Israel and North Korea, together with emerging participants such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo. For several days, all these flags will be brought together under the same roof, in a discipline whose very nature is built on collaboration, trust and teamwork.
However, the relationship between Pesaro and major international gymnastics events did not begin today. In 2021, the city hosted the European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics and Acrobatic Gymnastics, organised by PesaroGym, with Esatour responsible for welcoming the delegations and managing their accommodation.
It was an edition held during a period still heavily affected by the pandemic. For Nikolina Hristova, President of the Acrobatic Gymnastics Technical Committee of World Gymnastics, «One month before the World Championships in Pesaro, it is exciting to see the major Acrobatic Gymnastics nations together with new realities such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo and North Korea. With all continents represented, this World Championship demonstrates how much room our sport still has to grow and how many new opportunities it can create for athletes and coaches around the world.
Many delegations will also return to Pesaro after AcroPesaro 2021, which took place during a difficult period marked by the pandemic but remains fondly remembered. This time they will be able to fully experience the city and the excitement of a World Championship, because beyond the medals, it is above all the emotions and shared moments that remain forever.»
A new generation and a spectacle to discover
For Italy, hosting a World Championship at home also means providing an extraordinary showcase for a discipline that is still relatively unknown to the general public.
For Erica Loiacono, National Technical Director of Acrobatic Gymnastics, «Having a World Championship in Pesaro is a tremendous opportunity for Italian Acrobatic Gymnastics and for the entire region. It is a spectacular discipline, capable of winning over even those who see it for the first time.
Today, a new generation is preparing to compete in front of a home crowd, and our wish is to see many families, young people and fans at the Vitrifrigo Arena. A World Championship like this is not only sport; it is an international spectacle to be experienced live.»
There is also a connection between Pesaro and the new generation of Italian athletes. Arianna Luca and Edoardo Ferraris, who were part of the Italian youth movement in 2021, became Junior World Champions in Guimarães in 2024, becoming role models and an inspiration for the young athletes of the Italian national team who now dream of achieving the same goal.
The timing of the event also makes it particularly interesting for schools and students, who will have just returned from the summer break. Attending a World Championship can offer a rare opportunity to discover a discipline based not only on athletic preparation, but also on mutual trust, responsibility towards teammates, collaboration and teamwork.
For families, young people, sports clubs and anyone who has never seen Acrobatic Gymnastics live, September will therefore offer a unique opportunity: to see athletes from every part of the world competing under the same roof for a world title.

For Pesaro, this will be an opportunity to welcome the international elite of this young discipline, which continues to show strong growth in Italy. Thanks to consistent planning and development, the support of the Italian Gymnastics Federation, and the work of Technical Director Erica Loiacono and the entire national staff, Italian Acrobatic Gymnastics has made its mark internationally, winning European and World medals at age-group level.
This confirms the strength of our youth development system and the promising future of the discipline, with many athletes already wearing the Italian national team colours.

A World Championship that involves the whole city
AcroPesaro 2026 has been developed with the aim of creating a connection with Pesaro beyond the Arena itself. The event’s official logo was created through a partnership with Liceo Artistico Mengaroni, directly involving students in a project that brought together education, creativity, the local community and major international sport.
Bringing forty countries together in one city also means creating an organisational operation that goes far beyond the competition days. AcroPesaro 2026 is the result of the work of PesaroGym 2019 and Esatour Group, together with the Italian Gymnastics Federation and World Gymnastics, with the involvement of local institutions and the wider community.
Accommodation, transport, training sessions, hotels, accreditation, volunteers, communications, television production, security and management of the Vitrifrigo Arena are all part of an organisation that has been working for months to welcome athletes and delegations.
But the impact of the event will continue beyond the venue. The historic centre, the sea, Rossini culture, gastronomy and the surrounding area will become part of the experience for delegations and families arriving in Pesaro. Athletes, coaches and visitors will return to their home countries carrying not only memories of the competition, but also images and experiences of the city that welcomed them.

In September, therefore, the event will not be reserved solely for gymnastics enthusiasts. It will be an opportunity for Pesaro to meet the world and, at the same time, for the world to discover Pesaro.
For two weeks, the city will be the world capital of Acrobatic Gymnastics.
Reference for the estimated economic impact
The estimate is based on Unioncamere-Isnart 2026 data, according to which the average daily expenditure of a foreign tourist in Italy amounts to €72 for accommodation and €105 for other expenditure in the local area*, for a total of €177 per person per day. Applying this figure to the at least 10,000 hotel stays expected, the estimated direct expenditure is approximately* €1.77 million*. This figure is an estimate and does not represent final actual economic expenditure.*
