The 30th Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships ended on Sunday at the Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro, the first time the event has been held in Italy. Sixteen titles were on offer: the team title, awarded on Friday, and the balance, dynamic and combined titles in each of the five categories, decided over the weekend.
Israel was the standout nation of the championships. It won the team title for the first time, ahead of the Russian Federation and the United States, and topped the medal table from the finals with four golds and three silvers. Russia won the most medals overall (eight: three gold, two silver and three bronze). The United States finished third on the table with three golds, one silver and two bronzes.
Ossolodkovs complete historic sweep
American brothers Yaroslav and Vsevolod Ossolodkov went into the finals ranked first in qualification in all three disciplines and delivered in every one. On Saturday they won the combined title with 29.620, ahead of Kazakhstan (29.210) and Belarus (28.630). They also took balance gold with 29.750, almost a full point clear of Kazakhstan (28.990) and Azerbaijan (28.950). On Sunday they added dynamic gold, becoming the first U.S. athletes to win every title in their division at an Acro World Championships.
Women’s pairs: Israel unrivalled
Rony Cohen and Shiraz Sokolovsky also swept all three finals. They won combined with 29.010 and dynamic with 28.690. In both events Great Britain’s Jessica Flay and Lydia Mulvey took silver (28.500 and 28.150), and Americans Sydney Padios and Willow Noble took bronze (28.230 and 27.730). The Israelis completed the sweep in the balance final.
Mixed pairs: Ukraine and Russia share the titles
Ukraine’s Yevfrosyniia Kryvytska and Ivan Labunets were the dominant pair. They won balance with 30.380, the highest score of the championships, and the combined title with 29.950. Portugal’s Lara Fernandes and André Fiúza took combined silver with 28.900. The dynamic final went to Russia’s Oleg Maiorov and Elizaveta Medvedeva with 29.170, ahead of the Ukrainians (29.050) and the Portuguese pair (28.770).
Women’s groups: China and Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan won the dynamic final with 28.580, and China claimed the category’s other two titles. One of those finals finished China, Israel, Russia. The U.S. trio of Aubrie Cunningham, Carmelle Djoumgoue and Juli Williams won silver in the combined.
Men’s groups: Israel–Russia duel
The combined final came down to a hundredth of a point. Israel won with 29.030, ahead of Russia (29.020) and Uzbekistan (28.240). The Israeli quartet was Liad Madar, Liran Cohen, Yevgeni Pinchukov and Eran Rodnay. Russia answered by winning the balance and dynamic finals, one of which finished Russia, Israel, Uzbekistan.

O 30.º Campeonato do Mundo de Ginástica Acrobática terminou no domingo na Vitrifrigo Arena, em Pesaro. Foi a primeira vez que a competição se disputou em Itália. Estavam em jogo 16 títulos: o de equipas, atribuído na sexta-feira, e os de equilíbrio, dinâmico e combinado em cada uma das cinco categorias, decididos no fim de semana.
Israel foi a grande potência do campeonato. Conquistou pela primeira vez o título por equipas, à frente da Federação Russa e dos Estados Unidos, e liderou o medalheiro das finais com quatro ouros e três pratas. A Rússia somou mais medalhas no total (oito: três de ouro, duas de prata e três de bronze), e os Estados Unidos ficaram em terceiro, com três ouros, uma prata e dois bronzes.
Ossolodkov: pleno histórico
Os irmãos norte-americanos Yaroslav e Vsevolod Ossolodkov chegaram às finais como primeiros da qualificação nas três vertentes e confirmaram o favoritismo em todas. No sábado venceram o combinado com 29,620, à frente do Cazaquistão (29,210) e da Bielorrússia (28,630). Ganharam também o equilíbrio com 29,750, quase um ponto acima do Cazaquistão (28,990) e do Azerbaijão (28,950). No domingo juntaram o ouro no dinâmico e tornaram-se os primeiros atletas dos EUA a arrecadar todos os títulos da sua categoria num Mundial de acrobática.
Pares femininos: Israel sem rival
